Classical Figure and Portrait Drawing
Classical Figure and Portrait Drawing — Four-Day Sunday Course
This course offers sustained study in Classical Figure and Portrait Drawing across four Sundays, from 09:00 to 16:00. Participants will work from a professional live model, who will maintain a single continuous pose throughout each session, allowing for careful observation and the development of accuracy, proportion, and form.
Instruction is provided in a structured studio environment, with individualized guidance from experienced instructors. Emphasis is placed on the foundational principles of Classical Drawing, including observation, measurement, proportion, value, and form development. Students will be supported in building both technical skill and visual understanding through extended practice and instructor feedback.
These four Sundays present a rare opportunity to engage deeply with the traditions of Classical Drawing in a focused and supportive setting. The course is suitable for both beginners seeking a strong foundation and more experienced artists wishing to refine their technique and deepen their understanding of classical methods.
By the conclusion of the course, participants will have strengthened their observational skills, gained practical experience working from life, and developed greater confidence in their ability to construct accurate and expressive figure and portrait drawings.
