Classical Drawing & Painting

The Summer Atelier is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the traditions of classical atelier training through focused studio practice and individual instruction.

From 31 August to 13 September, participants will work from observation, developing fundamental skills in drawing and painting through disciplined exercises and sustained study. The programme is designed for artists who wish to strengthen their understanding of form, value, proportion, composition, and technique within the classical tradition.

Whether you are beginning your atelier journey or looking to deepen your existing practice, you are welcome to attend for the days that best suit your schedule.

Curriculum

Daily instruction include:

  • Sight-size and comparative measurement techniques

  • Cast drawing and value studies

  • Still life Painting and drawing

  • Painting from observation

  • Composition and design principles

  • Individual critiques and demonstrations

  • Development of technical and observational skills

Working in a professional atelier environment, students will receive personal guidance from the instructors.

31 August – 13 September 2026

Attendance is flexible. You may choose the dates that fit your schedule, whether for a few days or the full two-week programme.

Tuition

560 DKK per day

Tuition will be invoiced according to the number of days you choose to attend.
